Seeds of Hope offers two outpatient eating disorder treatment programs for adults: partial hospitalization program (PHP) and intensive outpatient program (IOP). PHP is a structured full-day program for those who require more support, while IOP meets about two hours a day, four days a week, allowing for more flexibility in your schedule. During your initial appointment, we will determine which level of care is right for you.

IOP for Eating Disorders

Seeds of Hope also offers intensive outpatient program (IOP) for adults who are struggling with an eating disorder but need less support than full-day treatment. The goal of IOP is to help you develop coping skills and form healthy eating habits so you can function outside of the treatment environment.

Program Length

IOP runs Monday-Thursday for 2 hours and 15 minutes per day. Total treatment length depends on each individual’s needs and unique circumstances.

IOP Treatment Methods

Throughout the week, clients can expect a combination of the following:

  • Group therapy and process groups
  • Psychoeducation
  • Nutrition education and support
  • Meal practice
  • Medication management (as needed)

One day a week, a nutritionist runs the group. At other times, clinicians lead group therapy and guide clients in proven techniques like cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy.
